North Jr. High use to be a school which treated all kids with heart and integrety. It seems with the recent changes the school has changed its philosophy when dealing with kids with problems. My recent experience with North is that kids who get in trouble are deemed trouble makers and are dealt with through negative consequences rather than with conversation and understanding. Teens will sometimes misbehave as that is their nature and it is at this crucial time when they make there decision about school and adults. I would like to see the old North where conversation and positive encouragement combined with fair consequences gives kids a brighter perspective on schooling and school leaders.
