My younger sister had gone to Kamaile Elementary about 10 years ago. My 2 sons attended a few years back. Now my daughters ages 11 and 12 attend there, and the school has grown since then. I volunteer there every now and again and I must say not much has changed. The school is still the same size, the people are still the same, although there are new teachers you still get a welcome of Aloha. I remember Mr. Kila when he was teaching in High school in 90-93 year. If it was not for my guidance couselor and the words that Mr. Kila had spoken to me, to make me realize where I was headed and where I wanted to be? I think I would have been a drop out. Mr Kila is a very nice man and he gets the job done. I am a 93 graduate of Waianae High Scool and, only now, getting my degree in Health Administration with Leeward Community College and Waianae Health Academy. You can find no one better than Mr. Kila to run a school. Lets not hope our children do not run him down. Good choice in picking him to be Principle.
