Miss Hudson was our Principal way back when. Nicest lady. She
actually remembered my sister and me after we returned to Pensacola
in l956 after having been gone for 3-4 years (Navy stationed us in
Seattle/Tacoma,Washington and San Diego, California). Our last
name had changed, and she made sure no one teased us.
I believ Miss Hudson was also our Principal at the original Bellview Elementary School which was in a one-room school house
a little further out Bellview Road. I loved running around the
school house ringing the cow bell to bring everyone in to class.
Bonnie and Barbara Griffis remember a beautiful tree out front.
I remember the coal in the cellar for the free-standing pot
bellied stove in the one room.
Oh yes, I always wanted to become a 3rd grade school teacher...
why? Because of Mrs. Tucker my third grade teacher at the current Bellview Elementary School. Mary Stacy and I were best
friends and she treated us so special.
Good memories...........good people.
