I am from the old school's. Lucille Moore also is an old school. Unfortunately, everything from Gym equipment, computers, and some of the safety procedures need to be reviewed and made safer for the students.Easy access to go and come from inside to outside without interruptions from faculty. I feel some other arrangements need to be addressed with some very simple safety methods.
Another face-lift to make more classes is sad.. The playground might NOT seem important to the adults, but to the students the playground represents the school. The nicer the playground the more other students from other districts will want to come. Just look at the High Schools in Bay county - the stats show that the newer the school, does effect the students mood. This would also hold true if a family moved to a new house,(from a rental house 30 years old) the attitude and atmisphere is effected in the family of the new house.
I have had the opportunity to visit, or work, different schools. From the special student classes - and - the standard classrooms for over 35 years of experience.
I send this with respect and love for the school. Sincerely for the love of the students first, and the education available.
I have found several mothers who claim that Lucille Moore tries to label children to be "special students" so the school can get more funding.I pray this is not true. Sometimes, at the meetings with parents and "staff" the staff will be quiet when asked questions. Do not answer direct question and cover others, or commits lies to cover up when they (know that)they are wrong. (Several Mothers)more than 10.
I have the right to send my child to Lucille Moore, and I have the choice to send my child to Callaway, excellent in physical education. Everything continues to mature and develop at Callaway. It too was an old school. The media center is fantastic, yet I am sending my student to Lucille Moore instead. I am giving faith that Lucille Moore, has known my child for 3 years. I have worked with the school and this year my child has a specially positive teacher. I still feel the teachers need more money - no matter what the school -has / does not have -it will always need real teachers.....Please feel free to answer me back.
