I truly believe this program should be in every school as a after school enrichment program for our teens. I currently have a 12-year old daughter whoo is heavenly influenced by her peers at school. She makes good grades and over the last past 3 years she has been on the honor roll all year long and for that she got a medal for being on the honor roll all year and she got a medal for having perfect attendance in school, yet if she really applied herself, she could easily be in the gifted program, but because of her classmates, she wants to "fit in" and don't want to classified as a "know it all". As a concerned parent, I would love to see this program in the school as a enrichment program. And would love to be a mentor if the opportunity presented itself. I know many of other parents feel the same way I do, but becuase of lack of advertisement or not knowledgable of this program, the parents would not know how to get someone to come out to our school and speak on such a important avenue for our futre leaders.
