I believe that Jefferson Davis Middle School is a school that children with high self esteem and great will power should go to. Every body that is a someone at this school have nestled themselves into unique groups and completely think of school as a social hangout. Throughout my time as a fairly above average student to a average grade making student, I notice bits and pieces of information that you may need to know. Like most problems, parents complain about how their child does not get any work or teacher help which makes them lose interest in work and classroom activities. However, it is the student's fault that has made them run to their parents and not completely tell the parents that the teachers continuously change room rules to adjust other student's type of learning and the teacher's style of teaching. Also, parents that also complain to the principal and/or teachers about non resourceful help inside or outside the classroom is non available. That is also the students wrong doing. In my past three years of going to Jefferson Davis, all teachers frequently ask many students about our health care or classroom struggles, even to personal issues. One teacher, though name shall be un named, loved all her students which in return received respect and acknowledgment for the entire school year. In my eyes, people who do not ask shall not receive.
Finally, our attitude at school should be considered as vile, atrocious, and explicit. Children who do this have a 50/50 percent chance of passing or failing school year. But the people who have the passing chance have remarkable vocabulary, a good head with the teachers and if lost work can be remade, done. Which greatly surprised most students which turned into natural cheering. The other students which only I considered stupid or very non youthful looking should be the students who reveal more than what should be. The look of short shorts, micro mini skirts, and other explicit clothing shows that these students have yet to making it to the real world and only think about their ideals in the far future and so on. Some do great [since I do have these kinds of friends] while others...float away in different terms.
Those are my thoughts about this school, seeing as I have very little to say and have a bad grammar/literature. This is a former student, signing off.

This comment is not only for the teachers but also for the administrators within the school. Based on my childs experience at this school I would have to say that I think teacher/student communication is a zero. The students feel as if the educators don't care about whether they catch on to the material given. The students do not feel safe. The staff does not handle heavy situations in a timely manner and I really think the County School Board needs to hear about this. The kids bring all types of weapons to school and I don't think anything is being done about in this school. I know that there may be things of this sort going on in other schools but i'm not speaking of those schools i'm speaking of Jeff Davis. I am a long-time resident of the area, I grew up in the area and I think that it is sad all these educators don't care about whether or not these students make it. My child has been complaing about the same crew of students bullying her all year and i've been to the school several times to address these issues. My next step is JSO and Duval County School Board to raise these issues and speak of a few names. These teachers stoop to the level of the student instead of being the adult. They have personal vendettas with these students and they show it. This school is not the good,wholesome school it used to be when my grandmother worked there. My child will not be returning and I would not recommend anyone enroll their child.

well it is okay but what i don't get is why 6th graders can't play any sports. well our school basketball team rocks and all the other teams to! teamup is good to. its a good way to help students such as myself with homework and fitness.
