I attended Tincher Elementary School from kindergarten to 6th grade. My experience there was horrifying. All due to a gang of boys that followed me out of my class every day as I ditched them in every way I could, running through bathrooms, down halls, through classrooms with the teachers still in them, until one day they caught me on my way home and tried to beat me up. But out of the blue, a Jr. High school boy showed up out of no where and just as this gang of boys caught up with me and were slapping me around, this Jr. High boy told them to let me go and if he ever caught them touching me again that they would have him to deal with.
I never saw this boy before or after this incident and I was never bothered by these boys again. My only fault in this whole thing was, that I had the Gaul to like one of these boys.
Ronnie Doll. In our Jr. High years, he realized that I was not such a bad catch and was actually shy as he asked me to dance. Without his gang to back him up anymore, I think he actually thought I was quite nice and pretty at that. Your loss Ronnie.
See ya on Oprah some day, "When Bully meets Victim".
If anybody had any of the year books from 1961-1967, I would surely appreciate a copy of the class of my years. Vicky Reddoch was my name I went by then, Victoria Coultas is my name.
Email address VictoriaCoultas@gmail.com. I would be deeply grateful. I had many friends in the upper grades but wouldn't want to put you out. One of the greatest most respected boys was Tommy Nation and others that I can't remember their last names as I haven't had a year book since my elementary years.
I would love to be able to get in touch with the teachers that made a difference in my life. Mr. Nicholes, my inspiring art teacher, and my kindergarten teacher who made me sit in the trash can under the telephone on my first day for talking to much.
This is after she made me stay in at recess and I got grossed out when the other girl tore apart a pill bug, rolly polly, as others know it and because of that I got put in the trash can for freaking out and had to stay their for quite awhile after the class came back in. Being under the telephone was a psychological thing because it was only used when the office called with bad news.
That's how my first day at Tincher Elementary started and it went down hill from there.
It didn't help that I had a rebellious sister that went before me so I was doomed from the beginning.
My experience here was the clincher in my decision to home school my two girls who are very successful today and secure in who they are even though their mother isn't.
I owe all this to the lack of supervision at Tincher. not to mention that is when they took prayer out of the school. Everything went down hill from there and the attitude of the teachers was totally different.
Thank you for the opportunity to share my experience with you.
Sincerely Yours,
Victoria Coultas
