Being an Asian and studying in an Asian country has taught me that students are there only to be seen and not heard. Class discussions are almost non-existent and even if the teachers ask the class questions, no one ever volunteers to answer them. Parking at Soka University of America is a very simple process. First off, there is NO parking fee, EVER! The two largest parking lots on campus are right at the entrance of the school as soon as you enter. Finding a place to park is never an issue! There are no spots that are “reserved” for certain special people, so you can park anywhere you see an open spot (I think this also shows how we focus on equality throughout our university).
