Teachers here are seemingly nice and concerned about my child. My child has stated that enviroment is good. Communication with staff is another topic: Principal lacks communication skills, active listening in not on his agenda. After conversing with him in regards to my child, he pacified me on the phone reassuring me that issue would be taking of. Later that day, I found out issue was not addressed in the proper fashion. I went to school at North Park elementary when I was young. My family moved to California in 1986. The teachers and the students were very welcoming and made our adjustment from Canadian living alot easier. I only wish that I would have been able to keep in contact with the friends that I had made.
Overall, this is a pretty good school. Some things can be improved, such as some of the staff's attitudes. The education is good. And you learn a lot. A lot of the staff are very nice, and helpful.
I am a senior and graduating in four months. In retrospect, leadership experiences and cultural diversity really made me grow as a person.

When I attended Pine Valley Elementary, it was a one room school house. Mrs. O'Mar taught me for first and second grade, and then she retired. Mrs. Turnbull replaced her. I have the fondest memories of my school days.
