I must say I did enjoy the years I spent at NPHS. I spent two years as a member of Student Council, and played football (okay, I actually stood on the sidelines, coach didn't like me). I also participated in a few plays, and in my final year assisted with yearbook. I enjoyed most of my teachers. How could I not, I'm a knowledge junkie. I had some fun there and was grateful to graduate.

I think dorms are cool to stay in only if you dont have that many rules to follow. You should have certain rules to stay in a dorm. You should be allowed to do what ever you want to do if you follow the rules.
went to O'kean then to Delaplaine Quit school in 1960 ,got G.E.D. in N.M. in 1983.When i started to school in Delplaine,we had to ride bus from O'kean to school.I remember history teacher .Mr. Emil
Homer Adkins Elementary is a lot better and a lot safer school than Harris Elementary just down HWY 161. Jacksonville should seriously make it an elementary school again and not just a daycare like it is now. Homer Adkins was a lot better than Jacksonville Elementary and M. Taylor Elementary to. Those schools are still running as elementaries but don't deserve the status as an "elementary school" as Homer Adkins did!!!
