Tri-city College Preparatory High School has been ranked among the top high schools in the U.S. according to U.S. News and World Report. The school excells in science and mathematics as well as music and art. It has a comprehensive athletics program and art and language programs. Students may take courses to earn dual high school/college credits. As high as 30%-40% of graduates have two years of college credits which can be applied to their bachelor's degree in any university. The school offers academic association with four national honor societies; National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Mathematics National Honor Society, English National Honor Society. Several of its students have been recognized as National Merit Scholars and many are recognized as Congressional Merit Scholars. Students participate in various academic exercises including Robotics FIRST, Enviro-thon,etc. Besides providing sports facilities for soccer, basketball, volleyball, softball and archery; the school has the only crew-rowing team in Northern Arizona, winning recognition both in Arizona and across the U.S. and the world.
