I taught at South River for 2 years. It's one of the best schools I've worked for. There were available funds for my program and the principals were great and the teachers were, generally speaking, were a cohesive group. The students wereare wonderful, a lot of heart.
I would not have left but was forced to because there was a reduction in force and my program was hit.
I was asked back when the job was available again, but I had already secured another teaching position at Marana H.S. Since then, I've worked in top schools in HI, MD and AZ. My ideas differ in what a "top school" is and that doesn't only cover test scores. I'd go back to SCVUHS in a heart beat if I could.
