I too am a 1966 graduate of Coffee High School. I can remember being in school at Florence Jr. High and waiting patiently, but anxiously, for my report card to tell me I would be attending COFFEE HIGH SCHOOL the next year. Yes, Mr. was a wonderful man and a good friend to all the students there. So were Coach Bratcher and Coach Grant...all the teachers there were so special in their own rights..Oh, yes, we have to remember Mr. Wadsworth, who took Mr. Braly's seat as principal...we seniors gave him fits!!! Good, clean fun but I truly feel we almost gave him a nervous breakdown that year. LOL... I have always said IF I could go back in time and relive it, I would go back and relive my Senior year in a heartbeat...

We had the greatest principal a school could have. Mr. Braly was fair, kind and not too bad looking!!! As a student I knew I could go to him with a school related problem I couldn't handle on my own. I remember him fondly.

General John Coffee High School was closed. The cities two High Schools (Coffee and Bradshaw) were combined into Florence High School at the Bradshaw facility and the former Coffee High School facility is now Florence Middle School. I rated the facilities as I knew them at the time I attended.
