I have been at Glen Iris for two years now. Principal Dr. Wilson is an excellent principal. The only problem I see about the school is the security. Instead of cameras we need police security guards. You can enter and leave the school no questions asked uless you go into the office and say something yourself. The parking in the afternoon is unreal. The parents are supposed to not get out of their cars and leave them parked but they do anyway. In the morning they doublepark and let their children out in front of moving vehicles. I just got honked at and screamed at becuase I wasn't parked close enough to the curb so that they could go around me and they basically tried to start a riot. I was so close to the curb I ran on top of the curb with my tire. I am so sick of the doublstandards that they put on us. They tell my daughter to take clamps out of her hair and wear her socks a certain way then I see half of the children coming out wearing completly opposite clothing. For one thing if the uniform says white shirts everyone should wear white shirts. Now I see half the girls and half the boys wearing blue shirts and I do not think that is fair. If my daughter wore the blue shirt they would say something to her because I believe that they are meant for the boys only. If one needs to follow the rules then everyone needs to follow the rules. That is why sometimes my daughter speaks out in class because she is like me when we see something that is not correct for one but the other gets away with it.
