Victims of Violence International, of Canada, created this page. They offer common sense advice on parenting issues, especially on handling the stresses of parenting young children, being a single parent, etc.

GrandsRuS is for "Grandparents and Special Others Raising Children" and offers support to those who find themselves parenting their grandchildren. The site is large and contains opportunities to chat, resources of interest, advice, shopping, and consideration of grandparent issues.

This article gives helpful information to parents of stepchildren and is available in reprint for $1.30 or as part of a series of related papers.

Heather Madrone has put together a page that homeschoolers and "unschoolers" especially will find very interesting. More philosophical than most, but also with good info links.

Shares the experiences of other parents of gifted children, offers suggestions, and talks about areas of concern shared by parents of gifted children.

The author has combed the Web and written excellent reviews of sites which detail historical education practices, methods of child rearing, and conditions of children’s lives throughout history and all over the globe. Fascinating stuff!

The leading magazine for technology-using educators offers a searchable database of software reviews from the past few years, among other features. Parents are welcome at this site also.

This site offers students and parents plenty of information on college preparation, career choices, and study tips, as well as some fun stuff too! There are links here to excellent web sites in a number of related categories, and detailed information on what to look for in a mobile PC if you're thinking of making that investment before you head off to college.

Jon's page is just what it says--a great resource for parents who are homeschooling. He has many links to helpful parenting sites as well as those strictly dealing with home educating.

Kathleen Hagen is a mother of two who has created a visually striking page where she offers links to parenting sites and personal experience articles.

This "online resource for parents" is directed by pediatrician Stephen D. Schneider and offers health, safety, and behavior information in an easily accessible format without a lot of glitz. There are also excellently annotated links and archives of past issues.

"An educational and entertaining Electronic Playground for kids ages 4 to 15," this site offers Spanish, French, and Dutch versions as well as English. Kids can write stories, talk to "Key Pals," play games, learn crafts, etc. There is a companion parent/teacher site.

A searchable database with answers to common questions about kids health. An excellent resource for parents.

There are links to many sites here relating to health and education issues for children of all ages.

Kristie offers lots of links to breastfeeding, childbirth, and attachment parenting. She also includes fun activities for kids and a craft page.

This site offers a wealth of information regarding learning disabilities and Attention Deficit Disorder. You can be kept up-to-date on current events, locate help nationally and by state, participate in discussion groups, and more. What a find!
