Many of the features and editorials of this magazine of APICS, the Educational Society for Resource Management, are archived here in their entirety. The archives date back to December of 1995. Also available here are the 1997 Buyers Guide Online, software surveys, and information regarding purchasing reprints. A very good online resource!

For those who make, integrate, or need automation systems, this database offers products, companies, job and technical information, and links.

A scrapbook of illustated examples of things that are hard to use because they do not follow human factors principles. Interesting site that gives solutions to what is wrong.

The Best Manufacturing Practices site offers lots of information about optimum procedures in the areas of design, testing, production, facilities, logistics, and management. With surveys and special interest groups this site offers quite a bit. The Virtual Factory Tour is really neat!

This association promotes, "the technical, trade and commercial interests of the British manufacturers and suppliers of hydraulic and pneumatic components." There's a searchable list of manufacturers and distributors who are members, and an annotated list of related articles available for purchase. If you check out the "about" page, you'll find some good statistics and information on fluid power, especially in Britain

This is an organization at Purdue University and their goal is, "to create and disseminate an organized body of knowledge that will enable Collaborative Manufacturing to become an effective mode of operation for the future." You can take a VRML tour of their labs and they offer research experience for undergrads. Also, you can check out data bases on research projects.

This organization encourages multi-disciplinary research and education on environmental management and pollution prevention issues in critical industries. One very nice area of this site is the publication abstract section.

Here, in the museum founded by Henry Ford in 1929, you can learn about the process of change and innovation in American life.

If you're looking for manufacturing information, this is the place! IndustryLink refers to itself as the "premier directory of links to industry web sites." Catagories include: Automation, Chemical, Construction, Mining, and Plastics.

"The Voice of Michigan Industry," MMA represents manufacturers and reports back to them in legislative and regulatory matters. This very current site relates timely information and upcoming events of interest to those in industry. Contains links to Michigan and general sites of interest.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology offers you surprisingly easy, clearly instructed access to a wide range of scientific data. In addition to evaluated links, you get electronic journals, databases, and other online resources.

Online Engineer wants to be "the most comprehensive on-line resource for the Manufacturing sector in the U.K." You can search the database by company name or category, or browse an alphabetical list of companies with descriptions and contact details.

The complete online listing of all standard industrial classification codes and category descriptions. A great quick reference. Information on CD-ROM or diskette can be purchased, but the Web site is free.
