This New Zealand site offers extensive information on improving your cancer avoidance techniques in three areas: sun exposure, smoking, and nutrition. There's information here that would be helpful to teachers on many levels.

This is an excellent resource, not only on Lyme Disease, but also on other tick-borne diseases in animals as well as people. You'll find general and clinical information here, plus news about research and organizations, journals and Web resources. There's also a Patient Gallery with personal accounts of illness and treatment, and even some art and humor.

Questions and answers on a huge range of scientific topics make this a great site for information on science. And if you don't find the answer you're looking for already here, ask a question of the mad scientist of your choice.

For free, though, they have great links, a newsletter, health tips, disability resources, and a fascinating glossary of CAT (complementary and alternative therapies) terms and links.

This informative site is updated daily with the latest medical news on a broad range of topics. Access is free, but the site does require you to register. Check out the Exam Room...if one of your pleasures in watching ER is trying to diagnose the patient, here's your idea of heaven. This is an excellent source of information for medical professionals and laymen alike.
